Overview

Location

These luxury flats are located directly on the peeling reef break of La Source in Taghazout. Ideally situated between fast barreling Killer Point and Mysteries' heavy reef break with the world famous point break, Anchor Point only a short walk along the beach.

Five minutes down the beach is the charming fishing village of Taghazout where you'll find plenty of restaurants and cafes, markets, shopping, board rental and ding repair shops.

The Surf

From September to June, Morocco has some phenomenal surf. The variety of surf in this area of Morocco is huge.

Killers
Epic sand and rock right point break. A regional standout bowly peak, big barrels, long racy walls, more barrel sections. Long, long rides possible. Don't get caught inside as the caves and reef seem to get very close ...
La Source
Sand and rock bottom reef. Fun right and left peak offering up punchy, manouever-friendly waves. It works from 2-6ft and is best surfed on a low-mid tide.
Mysteries
This beach break combines with a shallow reef section to provide a deceptively long wave with barrels. The right hand section provides a nice ride especially on the incoming high tide, with a larger back section working well on a NW swell. Just be careful that you don't get sucked down into this beast as it rears up over the reef.
Anchors
The spot that put Morocco on the map. Sand and rock bottom right point break. Capable of producing phenomenally long 500m rides. This powerful wave has every sort of section imaginable. Swell rarely gets too big for Anchors. Works best on a low tide.
Spiders
Sand and rock bottom wedge breaking right outside the villa. Super fun right-hander.
Hash point
This fast right-hander works well with a medium to large swell when the sand lines up well off the rocks. Great for those who are new to rocky point breaks as it has a mostly sandy bottom. This is a favourite with the locals who run down after school to hit the lineup.
Panoramas
Sand bottom right hander, perfect beginner/intermediate wave. Long mellow rides, finishing on a sandy beach.

Accommodation

The Killer Point complex is comprised of 14 private luxury flats, each designed in contemporary Moroccan style, finished to the highest standard and fully equipped for your comfort.

There are twelve 2-bedroom/ 2 bathroom apartments with 1 double and 1 x twin beds and two units are larger 3 bedroom/ 2 bathroom apartments.

All apartments have a fully equipped kitchen, lounge area with TV and satellite and 2 balconies with panoramic views from Anchor Point to Killer Point.

Extra's

- Private Catering/ cooking lessons. A personal chef will come to your apartment and prepare traditional Moroccan meals including Cous Cous and Tagine. The charge is 100dh plus the cost of ingredients
- Restaurant " KM 25" will deliver meals to your apartment, menus are provided in your apartment.
- Rental cars are available through Surf Berbere and can be waiting for you at the Killer Point apartments or you can pick up and drop off at the airport. Details and pricing upon request.
- Surf lessons and board/wetsuit rental can be set up through their new surf school at Devils Rock, 15 mins South of the Killer Point apartments. More information available upon request..
- Transfers to and from Agadir airport are available for 250dh during the day and 300dh at night. From Agadir bus station for 150dh and from Marrakech airport for 1000dh.

Local info

AIRPORTS
The closest airport to Taghazout is Agadir international airport (AGA), alternatively you can fly to Marrakech (RAK) and make your own way to Taghazout. Grand taxis (big old Mercedes 240’s) take 4-5 hours depending on traffic and cost between £50-£60. Alternatively a number of bus companies (CTM or Supratours recommended) run services to Agadir but you will need to get from Marrakech airport to the bus station. Around 25 min's by taxi. The journey cost from Marrakech to Agadir is £5 one way, and takes 4-5 hrs. A pick up can be arranged from Agadir.

VISAS
Visas are not required for British and European passport holders for stays up to 90 days. Passports must be valid for three months from the date of entry into Morocco. South African passport holders need to obtain a visa from the nearest Moroccan embassy.

CURRENCY
The Moroccan currency is the dirham. Exchange rates at last time of checking were around 15.5 dh to the £1, 10 dh to the € and 8.5 to the $. Dirhams can only be obtained within Morocco. There are exchange facilities in the airport as well as ATMs. There are also a number of ATMs in Agadir. There are no ATM’s in Taghazout. Please note: travellers cheques cannot be exchanged at the airport or in Taghazout and only in a few places in Agadir.

Average air temperatures range from 20° to 26° Celsius Dec to Febr being the coolest.

Average water temperatures range from 16° to 22° Celcius.
The water is at 16/18'c for most of the year.
