Las Plumerias is a Surf Lodge consisting of 5 large and traditionally built bungalows located within Nicaraguan nature on a hill with stunning ocean views and only a short walk to the beach and surf. The accommodation rates include breakfast, lunch and dinner and you can book surf school or surf guide tours or a custom package on request.

The lodge its bar & restaurant serve healthy and delicious meals with international styles and a little bit of a French twist. Las Plumerias offers everything to make sure you have a great Nicaragua Vacation experience.

Location

Las Plumerias Surf Lodge is located on 300 meters from Playa Gavilan, which is situated between Popoyo, only a 10 minute walk away, and the fishing village of El Astillero, about 1 yard further down the beach.

The Lodge is surrounded by pure nature and wildlife. You can watch giant sea turtels, pelicans and rainbow parrots. Enjoy the beautiful oceanviews...

You are on only 1 hour from Rivas and 1h30 from San Juan Del Sur. The International Airport Managua can be reached within a 2h30 hours drive.

The Surf

The coastline of Nicaragua offers a large diversity of surf spots for all levels.

Here are some breaks close to Las Plumerias Lodge,
from North to South:
El Astillero: Beach break and point break, really fun.
Popoyo: Reef break and outer reef for chargers.
Santana: Hollow beach break, good barrels.
Rosada: Hollow reef break breaking in front of the rocks.
Panga drops: Fun reef break.
Colorado: Hollow beach break but take 2 boards when you go there.

Accommodation

Las Plumerias Surf Lodge consists of 5 bungalows with a traditional design and modern comfort. Each can sleep 2 people and there is a family bungalow that can sleep up to 4 people, accommodating 10 people in total.

Each bungalow has its private bathroom and a terrace overlooking the Pacific Ocean. They are equipped with twin or double beds, mosquito nets and a fan.

The main space is the all-open restaurant with bar where all guests meet for meals at a big table and enjoy the sunset over the ocean. Enjoy fresh grilled fish or chicken, salads and fruits and home made desserts.

There are also hammocks to chill in and soak up the beautiful nature of the surrounding and you can make use of the free wireless internet.

Our goal is to give you the skills necessary to improve your surfing safely and autonomously in 2 surf lessons a day of 2 hours each.
