HOW TO GET THERE

From Bordeaux take the ring road, exit N° 8, direction Lacanau Ocean. Just a 45 minute drive from Bordeaux city centre and the airport.

The Surf

Lacanau became a popular surfspot because of the Lacanau Pro every year around the 15th of August. Since 25 years during this time of the year the world's best surfers go there for the competition.

Lacanau has different beach breaks that work in different swell directions and up to 2,5 m with east, south- or north-east wind. The best season is April to October. When Lacanau is not working, there are lots of other surfspots nearby.

THE HOTEL

This hotel has in total 50 guest rooms, each with a balcony looking onto the golf course or the forest. For your comfort, the rooms were fully renovated at the beginning of 2005.

Golf Course

Opened in 1980, the golf course at Lacanau has earned its international reputation by maintaining the fairways in exceptional condition and keeping fast greens, throughout the year. Designed by Harris, the golf course winds between dunes and pines, with its fairways drawing a star shape around the hotel.

Restaurant

The restaurant and the Club House afford views over holes 9 and 18. You will definitely appreciate looking out over the fairways, in this quiet, clean and natural environment whilst savouring la cuisine du Chef !
