Overview

The Star Ocean Speed Boat is an alternative way to surf all of the Mentawai waves, even Telo ! It provides " Land Based " Surf charter trips for max 6 surfers, so you are on the boat during the day and you sleep in a hotel on shore, or "On Board" surf trips for maximum 3 surfers.

With the Star Ocean Speed Boat you can have a private "Living on Board" holiday with just 2 or 3 of you and anytime you like.

Location

The Star Ocean Speed Boat is based on one of the main Mentawai Islands, Sipora. In the 'land based' package you will stay at hotel Bintang there at night and during the day you will explore lots of the Mentawai waves with the Speed Boat.

The Surf

With fetches of thousands of miles and swells groomed by light winds the Mentawai Islands waves are probably the most consistent and high quality on the planet. April through October is considered the peak swell season. The clear water & exotic surroundings are a big bonus too.

Hotel Bintang for land based packages
Guests will be accommodated in 3 rooms max (twin/triple share) located in Tuapejat Sipora Mentawai in the hotel on only 100 m distance from the boat. Hotel Bintang is not a luxury hotel, but nice, clean and tidy. It's famous among surfers.

STAR OCEAN " ON BOARD " PACKAGE ( Max 4 surfers )
Enjoy a private "Living on Board" holiday with only your family/friends and maximum 4 people who share 1 sleeping cabin. You don't have to wait to join other groups or match your schedule with other groups. With Star Ocean you can surf anytime you like and you don't have to waste 2 days on big vessels to reach the Mentawai. Star Ocean will transfer you in 3-4 hours.
Included:
Transfer (Airport-Boat-Airport) *, sea transportation *, snacks, mineral water & beer, food (local food like fried rice, fried noodle, nasi padang, etc. ), Mentawai Tax USD 3 per day per person and overnight hotel in Padang.

TRANSFERS ( Max 10 surfers )
The Star Ocean speedboat can maximum transfer 10 surfers. Drinking water is included

* Transfer: They will pick you up at Minangkabau International Airport , and take you straight to Star Ocean Boat. For safety, they don't travel at night so please arrange flights that suit you if you wish to travel on the same day.

* Sea Transportation: Headed to Mentawai with Star Ocean Boat, it will take more or less 4 hours depending on sea conditions. Once they get there, surfers can have some rest and they will take you to the waves on the next day in the morning.
