Overview

The quality and consistency of the waves make this beach an ideal place for the Costa Rica Surfing Chicas. A surf camp where you not only learn how to ride waves, but also stay healthy, eat well and have lots of contact with nature.

A typical day at the camp often begins with an early morning hike into the surrounding mountains, where you can enjoy beautiful nature and the amazing Costa Rica sunrise. A great spot from where to check the waves too...

After hiking, if the tide is right, you will go for a surf with the experienced instructors that will take you to the perfect surfing spot for the day. Catching a wave and standing up is a fantastic feeling and something you will never forget.

Then it's time to indulge yourself with a healthy delicious meal and tropical fruits. You can choose the perfect ending to your day, winding down with a yoga class in the jungle, relaxing with a massage or just watching the sunset @ the exquisite dinner.

Location

Nosara has two breathtaking beaches: Playa Guiones and Playa Pelada. Both have light colored sand, warm clear water, and are protected by a wildlife refuge so the jungle comes right down to the sand.

Playa Pelada is protected by some reefs and is a favorite spot for families.

The Costa Rica Surfing Chicas Luxury camp is based @ Playa Guiones, a beautiful white sandy beach that is surrounded with lush vegetation and ranked among the best surf spots on the Nicoya Peninsula.

The Surf

With its smooth sand beaches, Playa Guiones is ideal for different levels. The waves break left and right with multiple peaks allowing for great surfing at any time during the year. However, November through May will offer you the best chance of finding excellent conditions.

Surf lessons are provided twice a day ...
Beginners...:
You will be taught: water safety, paddling techniques, catching waves, wave selection, and surfing etiquette. Most importantly, you will experience the feeling of riding along a wave that's powered purely by nature.
Intermediates and Advanced Surfers...:
Surfing Playa Guiones and Playa Pelada could turn into a fabulous experience. During the dry season, the North Pacific has sensational offshore winds, which produces clean and perfect peaks. They will take you to several more challenging surf breaks too, like Ostional and Marbella, which are epic spots. From beach to reef breaks, there are a variety of waves that will send you home with a big smile!

Accommodation

The Costa Rica Surfing Chicas Home in Nosara is the Harmony Hotel. This is a first-class, “green” hotel in Playa Guiones where comfort meets effortless sustainability.

All 24 accommodations reside on a path that meanders through a tropical garden overflowing with native vegetation. The path ends @ the warm, inviting Pacific Ocean on Playa Nosara.

Here you can enjoy daily maid service, a luxury King size bed, refrigerator, air- conditioning, ceiling fans, a laptop-sized safe, coffee maker and WiFi access.

Other facilities are the restaurant, juice bar, bar, healing center, shop and swimming pool.

The restaurant food is spectacular and the juice bar serves all organic foods and drinks for lunch. An organic garden on the grounds supplies most of the fruits and vegetables. You can't get any better!

Yoga
A spacious, open-air room near The Healing Center is dedicated for yoga and meditation and a variety of different yoga classes are offered with the package. Whether you are looking for gentle, power, or restorative techniques, there are several options available. There is also a fantastic 'surfer's tune-up' class that will fit perfectly into your weekly schedule.

Healing Center
After playing hard, it's time to relax and get in tune with your natural rhythms at Harmony’s Healing Center. This spa was designed as a place of restoration, nurturing, and peace. Del Mar has 3 spa treatments included in the package; An Indian Head Massage to enjoy tremendous relaxation and relief from stress. The Honey Pat Facial is a beneficial treatment appropriate for all skin types. It helps to soften the skin by moisturizing, hydrating, and tightening the pores. All natural ingredients are used. Power Hikes
Del Mar believes in keeping your legs strong. They schedule hikes to mountains with spectacular views. It is a great way to start or finish your day. The Nosara Biological Reserve Nature Hike is included in the package and this private nature-reserve is situated along the Nosara River and is about 35 ha or 90 acres. Hiking is a great work-out and an opportunity to learn about Costa Rica’s flora and fauna.

Canopy Tour
Miss Sky is the longest Canopy Tour in the world. It makes a stop at the largest waterfall in the region, with a network of river pools and endless forest trails to observe nature and listen to the chorus of howler monkeys.
