Overview

Location

The house is nestled in a valley directly between the playful peaks of Popoyo. The beautiful beach of Popoyo is a short walk or 5 minute bike ride down a small hill. The breaks of Santana and Popoyo and Outer Reef are a 10-15 minute bike ride along the beach depending on your pace.

The Surf

The beautiful beach of Popoyo, home to the world famous A-frame break of Popoyo and the Pipeline-style Outer Reef break, is less than a 10 minute walk or 5 minute bike ride down a small hill. The peaky, wedgy, hollow beachbreak of Santana is a 10-15 minute bike ride or 30 minute walk.

A short walk south of Santana is Playa Rosada, a fast, hollow left pointbreak. A mile north of Popoyo is the beachbreak of Guasacate. The breaks of Colorado, Panga Drops, Manzanillo, and more lie to the south. Astillero, Lance's Left, Chacocente, Playgrounds and more lie to the north."

Accommodation

They offer you 3 rental units.

The house can sleep 4 people and has one bedroom with a double bed. There is a kitchen/living room which contains a refrigerator and three burner stove. There are two spacious porches. The front porch is fully enclosed and screened. It has two single beds, a cot, fans, and 4 exotic wood rocking chairs and coffee table.

There is a quality Sony CD player/cassette player stereo at the house, so you can bring your cords needed to connect your Ipod. The back porch has four hammocks and faces the predominant offshore breezes. The bathroom, shower, and sink are located in a very close-by, adjacent unit.

The second, 'one room' unit is the downstairs level of the new building and can sleep 2 people. It has air conditioning and a fan.

The third unit is the upstairs level of the newest building and can sleep 4 people. This one has a full kitchen with fridge, stereo, TV with local channels and a fan. It has a nice, breezy porch with an ocean view, but no aircon.

Rolando and Nana can be around as little or as much as you would like. Three meals are available per day ...

The Locals

Something to keep in mind. The place you are visiting is very special and is held dear by many. The area has attracted a lot of amazing people and there is a growing community. The locals there are warm, generous, and friendly by nature. Theirs is a simple life, and there are still some with limited meaningful interactions with outsiders. Nicaraguans are very approachable, and many will be very curious about you.

Your attitude and manners reflect who you are, and impressions can be made quickly. Take pride in your opportunity to be the best possible ambassador of both your country and the sport of surfing!

Rates

The house
$ 20 per night for up to 4 people or more

The seond unit
10 $ per night / $ 15 with airconditioning, for 2 people

The third unit
$ 30 per night for up to 4 people

SURFBOARD RENTALS:
There are three high performance boards available for rent. The dimensions are 6'2"X18.5"x2.25".
A 6'6" beginner board is now also available
$ 10 each per day

BIKE RENTALS:
4 mountain bikes are available for rent. They can be ridden on the beach at lower tides.
