Location

Blue- Morocco Surf, recommended by the Royal Moroccan surfing Federation, is pleased to welcome you all year long on the Southern Coast of Morocco, in Imessouane, a little fishermen and surfers village.

Imessouane is located between Essaouira and Agadir. Surfers from all over the world come here to find a peaceful and traditionnal place which offers the opportunity to ride good waves and progress all year long...

The Surf

Imessouane is a very good place to learn and progress, in a good spirit and beautiful nature. There are two main places to surf in an area of 500 meters.

The Cathedral shore is open to the west and is a very sensitive place for all kinds of swells; hidden from the north wind. The Cathedral is the name of a very good point which opens on a beach break with several right and left peaks, and ends on a reef which provides a perfect reef break (left handed). We usually surf the reef and the beach break at high tide or mid high tide when the swell is less than 5/6 feet ; and the point at low tide when the swell is over 5 feet.

The Bay side is open to the south, and it’s the most popular spot of Imessouane. At low tide, when the swell is over 6 feet from the west, the right handed of « la Baie » breaks behind the harbour until the last hills for a 600 meters ride !!! The sand banks moving make it perfect or just excellent for the beginners, longboards and retros ; or people who want to surf in a magical atmosphere….

Accommodation

They can organize accommodation only or an all-inclusive package in basic, but comfortable guesthouses or a luxury surfview apartment:

KAHINA : Probably the most beautiful view over the Cap Ghir valley and the surf spot of "The bay" in Imessouane. The guest house Kahina offers all commodities in a real Moroccan atmosphere and a huge terrasse in front of the sea. At the restaurant, you can have a refreshing mint tea or try some fish specialities, couscous and tajines. They have single, double and multiple rooms with common toilets and bathrooms. Some rooms have a little private balcony.

CHEZ HASSAN This guest house s a place where people come from all over the world to find a peaceful, charming and comfortable place in Imessouane. They have single and double rooms, with or without private bathroom, and little apartments, all set around a beautiful covered patio, with a private restaurant and a communal kitchen at your disposal.

LUXURY APARTMENTS For groups or families, we can book you a luxury apartment fully designed to the needs of surfers (8 pers./apartment). Each apartment looks over the famous Bay of Imessouane with 3 bedrooms, a big kitchen, bathroom and a private balcony with a BBQ. On the roof, you can enjoy a nice terrass and the pool.

SERVICES
Transfers from Agadir, Essaouira or Marrakech airports and city centers are organized on demand.
Individual insurance available during all your surf trip for 80 DH/8 € supply per person.

Surf School

We teach and share with you the surfing technique, the understanding of ocean natural phenomenons (swell, waves, currents, tides and winds), some surf culture and Moroccan waves and soul. All the instructors are qualified and have the Federal Surfing Instructor Diploma and a high studies level. They’ve spend most of their life very close to the ocean, surfing and fishing all allong the Moroccan coast which they know very well. Each of them has done more than 400 hours of surf teaching.

Surf lessons are daily organized according to the surf report and the tides to enjoy the best of each surfing day. Surf gear is provided with lessons, we have wetsuits and surfboards for all levels and wave types.

Rates

ACCOMMODATION ONLY:
