Cuervito is a small community, with a school of 15 kids. Ticos, Gringos and Europeans, own the land around there. The natural beauty of this place is attracting people from all over the world. "Pulperia" in Cocal Amarillo, is the closest store on the beach 2 miles away and there you can find a hardware store and 2 restaurants too.

This is where the jungle and the beach melt together, bird-watching, monkeys, black panthers, sloths and other species will amaze you. It is a nature retreat, with dirt roads which are frequently maintained. The nearest big towns are Golfito and Paso Canoas @ the border with Panama. (important for passport stamps, cheap food, cheap gas,... ). The closest hospital is in Golfito or Ciudad Neilly an hour away. The first clinic is located 4 miles away in Comte.

Surf

You can surf Pavones (4 miles from the land) or the Pilon , Cocal or Zancudo waves. There are plenty of point and beach breaks around...

The closest wave to Cuervito is Puerto Pilon with excellent surf and kiteboarding in the afternoon wind. There are 2 excellent stand-up paddling board spots too. A great Surf location...
